World-leading survival technology brand, Survitec, has renewed its partnership with Alex Thomson Racing.
The partnership, which extends until the end of 2021, sees Survitec – a brand synonymous with quality and excellence – cement its position as Official Marine Safety Equipment Partner to the team.
With over 160 years’ experience in the design, manufacture and supply of critical safety equipment, Survitec has established an unrivalled reputation within the marine industry. Via Survitec’s Crewsaver brand, the team will now be supplied with a range of high-quality lifejackets, including the ErgoFit 290N+ for use offshore and the Crewfit 180N Pro, designed for in-shore sailing.
Survitec will also supply the team with liferafts, installed onboard the brand-new HUGO BOSS boat – set to launch formally on 19th September – as well as a full range of technical safety equipment, crucial to skipper Thomson, his crew and the team’s corporate guests and clients.
The team’s lifejackets, designed and manufactured by Crewsaver, have been custom-made to reflect the brand identity of the new HUGO BOSS boat, incorporating the carbon-inspired pattern – in fluro pink, black and silver – as seen on the IMOCA 60 race boat itself.
Upon announcing the partnership with Survitec, skipper Alex Thomson said: “”. Alex Thomson, Skipper HUGO BOSS
Ross Wilkinson, VP Northern Europe at Survitec, commented, “Survitec is thrilled to be partnering with Alex Thomson Racing for a further three years. We share much of the same ethos, to continuously push the boundaries in redesign, keeping the industry as technologically advanced and as safe as possible.”
